Help? Tinted Moisturizer?

The other day, after applying my MAC Mineralized Loose, I noticed that I was looking a bit bronzier than I usually am. It's that darn winter skin! BLEGH! My face is more dry and I'm losing that summer glow. Bummer! So, even though I'm dry and sensitive, I've been lucky with the breakout scene. I don't need heavy coverage, so I'm looking for light coverage, more like a tinted moisturizer. Just to even out the skintone. So here's the deal, I've been talking to Patricia about getting Armani Face Fabric, but being that the closest place that carries it is an hour away turns me off. I can't just order it online, cause I need someone to color match me.

I'm eyeing two products. I'm a nerd. I like to read makeup reviews (screenshot stats from MakeupAlley)! I like to see what everyone has to say:

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20
1.5 oz for $42
"A sheer, lightweight moisturizer with SPF 20 and a hint of color that can be used in place of foundation. Achieve a natural appearance while adding a healthy glow to your complexion." (Nordstroms.com)
Winner of Allure magazine's 'Editors' Choice' Award

Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15
1.7 oz for $40
"The perfect alternative to foundation for a more casual look. This tint of natural-looking color combined with sun protection blends smoothly over skin and moisturizes while providing lightweight, sheer coverage." (Nordstroms.com)

Goodness, I'm torn between two lovers! So, if any of you guys out there have tried any of these, puh-lease let me know if you love it or hate it! OR! If you have any recommendations, please do share. I hoping to score my tinted moisturizer tomorrow! Hopefully the husby will let me drag him to the mall. Hmmm...Okay, Thanks!!

As for hauls, they have been put on the back burner. Wait, actually, I'm just waiting for them to come in the mail! I can't wait for my MAC exclusive Charming Garnet set. OooOh, I'm almost out of my Bare Slimshine, so a refill of that would be very nice. Oh and thanks to the lovely Stephanie, for mailing MAC's Emote Blush. WOOoO! Lovely discount, my dear! Haha! I can't wait to get it in the mail! I want a blush palette now, (random, I know!)

I have been getting in touch with my inner crafty self this past week. We got a real Christmas tree (my first REAL tree!) over the weekend, and the bows I made are quite lovely! I also personalized stockings for me and husby. It's starting to feel like Christmas! YAY!! Oh and I have to make a pumpkin roll for work tomorrow. MmM! Heffer Delight!

Have a lovely day! Christmas in a WEEK!!! WEE!

Here's my lightning fast comment! But only cuz we're both blogging at work, so might as well! :P

You get more product for the price with the Bobbi Brown one. But seeing as Laura Mercier's has more reviews yet still a good rating, I'd go with that. Also because that was your first choice originally. Hope you come to a decision soon! :)

Oh yah, I think the bf did end up ordering the Charming Garnet set for me, so yayyy!

I've tried the Laura Mercier and I did like it... BUT I always come back to my stand by... Benefit "You Rebel"... I use the lighter color. it really looks like YOUR skin, just smoothed out and glowi-er... and you donlt LOOK like you have makeup on, smells delish, and lasts. [:

i got the adoring carmine rose lips set. *guilty face* i'm more into lipsticks and glosses now.

as for the tinted moisturizer, i used to just mix some loose mineral foundation with my moisturizer and used a stippling brush to buff it on. worked for me during the summer...and it's easy to control your coverage.

I was not a fan of Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer..

I really really love Neutrogena healthy defense tinted moisturizer. It's feels so good!! And it's only $13.79 at the drug store.

But anyhoo, I hope you pick a good one!

Oh, how much was that REAL tree?

I never knew how much real trees cost considering we never had one :P

Yeah i'll post pics of my hair soon. It looks nice. =) I didn't tell Ronnie and he saw it today when I get off of work. haha! He was in shock. But he likes it. =)

I've actually heard good things about Benefit's tinted moisturizer too. But they only have like 2 shades so i don't know. Hope In A Jar, Purity and All About Eyes Riche has worked wonders with me and all week I've been going concealer and foundation free! I just dust some loose powder on my face and that's it! I give all my credit to Hope In A Jar. Maybe if you subsistute the tinted moisturizer for a foundation you're skin will adapt too. OOoOoh! Tell me how it goes!

I'll call you guys tomorrow, I just got home from Ronnie's sister's and I missed your calls. Sorry.=\

I have dry skin, and I wear Laura Mercier in Nude, Sand when I'm tanned. I prefer the texture to Bobbi Brown's.

I also like Stila Tinted Moisturizer too, and it's got a sheerer consistency than Laura's.

Good luck in your search!

You are all missing the boat! Juice Beauty has the most unbelievable tinted moisturizers. They are organic and their great! SPF 20 or 30; tinted with minerals for nice coverage; rich in pomegranate juice to nourish your skin; and they moisturize. Love all these organic benefits in one and you aren't getting all that artifical dye and fragrance and all those chemicals! Try Juice Beauty at Sephora, Whole Foods and I think at some of the Nordstrom now.
